    The Royal Navy Service ledgers came to the PRO this year into catagory ADM188. These are a snapshot of a mans service and were a summary of reports recieved in from the ship. They are arranged by service number. The service number was prefixed depending on the trade of the sailor. M prefixes were trades men, K prefixes are stokers.
