THE ASHFORD MEMORIAL WW1
The story of the Ashford memorial is probably a typical one of every town on the country. It was late being openned in 1924 by Sir Ian Hamilton, the British Commander at Gallipoli. There are memorials scattered all over the town. All Churches have a memorial, the natwest bank and the Post office have memorials.
